We sometimes need to think about quitting seriously. It will enable us to divert our time, money & effort into something meaningful and impactful. It may be either a tiring job, a bad relationship or losing business, which is worthy to quit.
When not to Quit?
When we start anything, We enjoy initial happiness, but All difficult demands consistency and hard work, where It becomes tough. Most people start thinking of quitting at this stage as it is getting tougher and demanding. This situation is called Di. Here we need to persist and be consistent in our efforts. Never Quit Advice is 100% applicable. We cant move one pillar to another pillar if things get tough or boring. Even if there is small improvement and there is potential to grow in that task, we should persist
When to Quit ?
- We need to be self aware to know our core values. We may think of quitting if our core values does not match with the task in the hand
- We should learn to distinguish between Short Term Pain and Long Term dead end. If it is not short term pain, but long term dead end in a task, we can seriosly think of quitting.
- Prepare youself for Quitting in advance through a well thought exit plan. We can decide certain trigger points where we can invoke our exit plan. A pre-made exit plan helps us to detach our emotions from decision making at time of quitting, which tend to make our decision more logical and objective
